On Wednesday, District 11 Supervisor John Avalos will vote, along with other members of the Budget and Finance Committee, on whether to allow the Port Commission to lease surface parking space on the northern waterfront to a private company for three years. In March, the Port began searching for companies interested in obtaining leases. It received 38 bids, and the Port is expected to earn $5 million.
