The remains of U.S. Marines Sgt. James Austin Sisney of Redwood City were laid to rest Friday by family members in Golden Gate National Cemetery after missing for nearly 70 years. Sisney and six other Marines were on a night training mission on April 22, 1944, when their plane crashed onto a remote island in the Pacific. The B-25 bomber, which was thought to have gone down in the ocean, was not found until just a few years ago when a relative of one of the missing men found the World War II crash site.
