61-year-old woman killed in crash on El Camino Real is identified

A 61-year-old woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Bruno on Thursday has been identified as Sondra Edith Gentile, according to the San Mateo County coroner's office.

The San Bruno woman was exiting Interstate Highway 380 at about 3:50 a.m., when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling south on El Camino Real, police said.

The alleged driver of the second vehicle, 21-year-old Mitnesh Reddy, of San Bruno, fled the scene of the crash and was arrested at his home later that morning, police said.

Reddy was arrested for vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol, and felony hit-and-run, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

Reddy posted $250,000 bail and is currently out of custody, Wagstaffe said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in South San Francisco on Dec. 19.
