Round up your cowboy gear: The rodeo is coming to town this week.

The Grand National Rodeo returns to Daly City’s Cow Palace Friday and Saturday and Oct. 21 and 22 for another year of fun.

More than 600 professional cowboys will compete in seven events at this year’s extravaganza.

The Grand National Horse Show also will be in full swing, from Friday to Oct. 22, as horse lovers show off their pride and joy.

Not into agriculture? Not a problem. Take a stroll through the Grand National Marketplace or load up on barbecue. The grills fire up at 5 p.m. daily.

The rodeo also features live music and dancing.

And on Saturday, the Cow Palace will honor the California Livestock Person of the Year.

The rodeo is produced by Cotton Rosser and the Flying U Rodeo Co.
