Belmont residents may smell gas this morning while PG&E crews work on a pipeline on Ralston Avenue, San Mateo County emergency officials said.
In preparation for a pipeline test, crews will be purging gas from a pipeline at Ralston Avenue near Interstate Highway 280 and state Highway 92 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
PG&E officials are alerting neighbors that there will be an odor of gas as crews work on the line.
