A three-month undercover investigation by law enforcement in San Mateo County led to the arrest of three people suspected of dealing drugs in San Carlos on Wednesday.
The county’s Narcotics Task Force received multiple complaints of drug dealing at a home in the 1500 block of Greenwood Avenue in San Carlos, task force officials said.
The task force, along with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the San Carlos Patrol Bureau, began to monitor the activities of the house and undercover agents arranged to buy crystal methamphetamine from the house’s occupants.
A search warrant for the house was served on Wednesday afternoon and law enforcement officials arrested three people.
A 5-year-old child was temporarily removed from the house during the search and eight pit bulls were restrained.
Two of the pit bulls were deemed aggressive and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society.
