The Atherton Town Council and Menlo Park City Council have each voted to join a lawsuit against the High-Speed Rail Authority. The lawsuit challenges the authority’s decision to choose the Pacheco route between San Francisco and Fresno. Officials from both cities say they are concerned that the HSRA ignored their comments on the environmental impact report and failed to fairly consider alternative routes.
