A sightseeing bus collided with the 31-Balboa Muni bus Wednesday morning.

A sightseeing bus collided with the 31-Balboa Muni bus Wednesday morning, causing one of Muni’s trolley poles — used to transfer electricity from overhead wiring — to pierce through the front window of the bus carrying approximately 30 tourists.

The 31-Balboa was turning left on Market Street at Mason Street when the red double-decker bus headed on a Fisherman’s Wharf tour collided with it.

“We heard a bit of a crash, then it suddenly stopped,” said Fred Farrugia, who is visiting The City from Perth, Australia. “But everything is fine.”

There were no injuries reported. The bus, run by City Sightseeing, sustained minor damage.
