Man stabbed near Redwood City Caltrain station, suspect apprehended

A man was stabbed Tuesday afternoon near Redwood City’s Caltrain station, police said.

Police received reports at about 4:40 p.m. of a stabbing at Sequoia Station in the 1000 block of El Camino Real.

Officers found the victim with a stab wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Witnesses told police that a man stabbed the victim once and then fled. They provided police with a description of the attacker.

Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect a short distance from the crime scene.
