Teenagers interested in exploring a career in protecting animals and animal rescue can participate in a workshop Friday. The Peninsula Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host a humane officer program to teach teens the skills necessary for assisting animals and people, check out equipment used and hear about rescues. The event is being held at the PHS-SPCA office, 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo. A $15 donation is suggested.
