Operators and Riders Expanding Public Transit asked the San Francisco Youth Commission to appeal to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees Muni, to provide 5- to 18-year-olds free public transit. The group said many poor youths and those from working-class families who must commute at least an hour to schools and cannot always afford Muni.
