CCSF trustee Chris Jackson failed to file updated campaign finance reports on July 31, Oct. 5 and Oct. 25. He finally got it in on Dec. 13.

Chris Jackson will officially be sworn in to another term on City College of San Francisco’s board of trustees Monday after filing the late paperwork he was missing.

Jackson was in danger of losing his seat when The City’s Ethics Commission announced last month that he had not filed the necessary campaign finance reports. He successfully secured the fourth open seat on the board by just more than 500 votes, but had failed to file the finance reports due July 31, Oct. 5 and Oct. 25.

According to the Ethics Commission, Jackson turned in his paperwork Dec. 13 and the San Francisco Elections Department certified his results less than a week later.

But the late paperwork also comes with late fees. Jackson reportedly owes more than $11,000 for the delinquency: $35 a day for each of the missed filings. Jackson said he plans to petition to have the amount reduced.
