The administrative march toward a new waterfront arena in San Francisco for the Warriors gets under way today when the Port Commission meets in a closed session to talk about the project.
It was announced last week that The City and the team had an agreement under which the franchise would build a new arena at Piers 30-32, which are near the Bay Bridge.
Though construction would be privately financed under the proposal put forth by Mayor Ed Lee and the team, the land would be provided by the Port of San Francisco, which owns it.
