SAN FRANCISCO — A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in San Francisco's Mission District Monday afternoon, a police spokeswoman said.

The shooting happened at about 2:10 p.m. in front of Bob's Liquor and Grocery at 26th and Harrison streets.

Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said the teenager was standing in the doorway of the business when a two-door car pulled up. A passenger exited and shot at the victim, she said.

The victim ran into the store and the shooter got back into the car, driven by a female, and fled.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

The motive remains under investigation and police have not yet released a description of the suspects.
