Two Hispanic men bumped into each other while walking along the 200 block of 11th Street shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said. One lifted his shirt to reveal a gun in his waistband, then raised the gun and fired several times, hitting the victim in the stomach, arm, buttocks and other areas, Williams said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he remained in critical condition late Sunday, according to police.
The shooting took place in front of a club, though Williams declined to give its name.
“We’re not sure if any of the parties were on their way to or from a nightclub,” Williams said. “However, it could be gang-related.”
Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a white T-shirt. He was with a black man wearing a red bandana around his neck. Both appeared to be in their early 20s, Williams said.

kinski: "Actually it was at 11th and Kissling, b/w Folsom and Howard. I know because I live right there and I heard the shots fired four times around 2am this morning. Within 5 minutes the neighborhood was crawling with squad cars and ambulances. I'm suspecting it was an argument that spilled out of Club Caliente considering that the crime scene was swarming with their security staff. I'm all for people going out and having fun on the weekends, but it definitely brings a bad element to our neighborhood on Friday and Saturday nights. Considering the neighborhood is relatively quiet during the weekdays, it's more then likely that Club Caliente is a likely catalyst considering it's closed Monday through Thursday."POSTED Oct 10, 2008
Factchecker: "Wait a minute. Two hispanic men were involved in the shooting but the victim was black. Umm, is this one of those clever word puzzles or did someone get this wrong?"
