Man injured in Mission drive-by shooting

SAN FRANCISCO – A man was shot and injured in the Mission district early Saturday morning, continuing a string of violence in the neighborhood that has left six dead in the last two weeks.

Police said the most recent shooting occurred around 4:45 a.m. Saturday when a victim was walking on 23rd Street near Treat Avenue and was shot by a gunman in a passing car.

The extent of the man's injuries was not immediately released.
