SAN FRANCISCO — Police found more than 100 pot plants inside a home they were searching in connection with a stabbing Sunday morning.

The victim called police just before 1 a.m. and said he had been stabbed on Canyon Road near Robinson Drive, Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

Further investigation revealed the man's home was a few blocks away near South Hill Boulevard and Robinson Drive. Officers found blood
from the stabbing and the pot plants, which were about 4-feet tall, Williams said.

The man told police he had been robbed, but Williams could not confirm anything was missing from the home.

He remained in the hospital Sunday with serious injuries but is expected to survive, Williams said.

Suspect information was not available.
