Police tend to an Atlanta Falcons fan that was stabbed by a 49ers fan outside of the Georgia Dome after the NFC Championship game on Sunday.

While rowdy 49ers fans traipsed through the Mission district after Sunday’s dramatic comeback victory in Atlanta, one incident outside the Georgia Dome turned bloody, according to reports.

A male Falcons fan was reportedly stabbed in the neck by a Niners fan after the game, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. An argument allegedly occurred between the two that escalated when the Atlanta fan punched the 49ers fan.

The 35-year-old victim was hospitalized in what Atlanta TV station WSB called stable condition.

Tony Morgan, a witness at the scene, told the station the Falcons fan was talking a bit of trash to the 49ers fan.

“Well, one of the Falcons fans just kept talking, telling him, ‘You ain’t going to come here and win and nothing,’ and he hit the man, and that’s what happened,” Morgan said. “The man went into his pocket and cut him.”

Police reportedly used pepper spray to defuse the fight and have recovered what they believe to be the knife used in the incident. No suspects have been arrested.

Meanwhile in San Francisco, police made 12 arrests during celebrations in the Mission, including for a DUI, an outstanding warrant and assault with a deadly weapon.
