Attempted murder suspect's trip has jail detour

A man suspected of attempted murder was apprehended Tuesday at San Francisco International Airport by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, a spokesman for the agency said.

Adolfo Suarez, 20, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. as he arrived from Guadalajara, Mexico, agency spokesman Ed Low said. Suarez is a U.S. citizen.

Suarez is wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Low said.

“This is a prime example of the exceptional quality of our officers in the performance of their border-security duties,” said Reginald Manning of Customs and Border Protection.
