Three men were caught by security guards at the San Francisco Zoo on Sunday night after jumping a back gate and trespassing into a secure area of the facility, according to police.
The break-in comes after the highly-publicized theft and return of Banana-Sam, a 17-year-old male squirrel monkey.
Security guards spotted the three men inside the zoo after hours at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, according to San Francisco police.
The three men told the security guards that they had jumped a back gate.
One man who had identification on him was cited by police. The other two men, neither of whom had ID, were booked by the officers.
