Police arrested a 32-year-old San Francisco man Friday in connection with two sexual assaults in the Mission district.
With the help of a tip from the department's anonymous tip line, investigators from Special Victim's Unit were able to identify the suspect and link him to physical evidence found at the scene of the assaults, police said.
The first assault occurred June 17 on South Van Ness Avenue near 24th Street. The second occurred Nov. 18 along the Mission District's 24th Street corridor.
In both instances the female victims were brutally attacked and robbed, police said.
