Fisherman's Wharf shooting victim expected to survive

A man found shot Sunday evening near Fisherman’s Wharf is expected to survive, according to police.

The man, described as being in his 40s, was found lying on a sidewalk near Taylor Street and North Point around 6:30 p.m., San Francisco Police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

When police arrived in the area they found the victim conscious and breathing. He was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Details of the shooting were not immediately available. Andraychak said no arrests have been made and there is no suspect description.
