Man fatally shot Friday in San Francisco's Mission district identified

A man who was fatally shot Friday morning in San Francisco's Mission District has been identified as 26-year-old Reynaldo Cordova, according to the medical examiner's office.

The shooting was reported at 1:49 a.m. near the intersection of 23rd and Harrison streets.

The San Francisco man got into a verbal argument with a suspect who then fired four or five shots, striking Cordova in the back, according to police.

Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The suspect, believed to be a male between 16 and 18 years old, fled in a green late-model Subaru Outback, police said.
