A shooting at the Aquatic Park near Fisherman’s Wharf injured at least one person Monday evening, according to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area representatives.

Details of the shooting were not immediately available, but the incident was reported around 8:15 p.m. after a report of five shots fired in the area, according to recreation area spokes woman Alex Picavet. The victim was found near the bocce ball courts.

At least one person is being treated for injuries and was transported to the hospital. The condition of the victim is unknown.

Picavet said U.S. Park Police are handling the investigation because the Aquatic Park is on federal land.
