The two men who were most seriously injured in Saturday’s violence inside and outside the 49ers-Raiders preseason game at Candlestick Park are improving, a hospital spokeswoman said Monday.

A 26-year-old man who was beaten and knocked unconscious inside a men’s restroom toward the end of the game, and a 25-year-old man who was shot multiple times in the parking lot a short time later, were upgraded today from serious to fair condition, San Francisco General Hospital spokeswoman Rachael Kagan said.

City officials, the 49ers and the NFL have issued statements condemning the violence.
