A man is fighting for his life after being cut on the throat following an early Sunday morning fight, police said.

Just after 2 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing at Fourth and Harrison streets. A black male was found in the area with “severe cuts to his throat.” The victim, who is in his 20s, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police do not have a suspect in custody, but they said a black male in his 20s was seen fleeing the area on foot.

In a separate incident 13 hours later, another person at Van Ness Avenue and Geary Boulevard received “several cuts to the leg” after a verbal argument turned physical.

Officers apprehended a suspect nearby.
