A verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight Sunday afternoon ended with one man stabbed and another arrested.
At 3:30 p.m., San Francisco police responded to Van Ness Avenue and Geary Boulevard with reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located a victim with several cuts to the leg. This person was treated with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers apprehended a suspect nearby.
According to police, the preliminary investigation shows the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical fight and led to the stabbing. The reason for the argument is being investigated.
