While Giants fan Bryan Stow faced taunting and middle fingers in Los Angeles, he reportedly commented that he’d rather eat his own feces than a Dodger Dog.
Newly released video, images and witness accounts of the day Stow was brutally beaten at Dodger Stadium — mostly appearing on the gossip news website TMZ — are snagging headlines and highlighting a vicious baseball rivalry that had tragic results Opening Day.
The latest uncovered image shows Dodger fans giving the bird to the camera as Stow and fellow Giants fans posed for a photograph during the game.
A video released earlier this week showed a Dodger fan scolding Stow, who was seated in the stands. That fan later claimed Stow had insulted the famous Dodger hot dog, according to TMZ.
The video grilling preceded Stow’s alarming message about the ongoing beef — his family said he had texted a relative 45 minutes before the end of the game about the “intimidating scene” at the ballpark.
After the game, two thugs in Dodger garb attacked Stow, a 42-year-old Santa Cruz paramedic and father of two, in the stadium parking lot. He was left in critical condition with head injuries.
Doctors at San Francisco General Hospital said last week that Stow’s condition had been upgraded to serious, but his recovery was too soon to tell.
