A dice game in the Bayview District turned bloody Saturday morning when one of the players got angry and shot the other player, San Francisco police said.
Police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said a 30-year-old man was found shot in the neck at Third Street and La Salle Avenue, where he and another man had been playing dice on the sidewalk.
Investigators believe that during the game, the suspect became enraged, got a gun from his car, and shot the victim, according to Dangerfield.
Officers in the area heard the shots and took the 31-year-old male suspect into custody after a chase on foot, Dangerfield said. A gun was also recovered, he said.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available Sunday morning.
