The Public Defender’s Office is about to reveal what it says is evidence San Francisco police officers falsified police reports in order to search units at a San Francisco residential hotel for drugs.

The allegations stem from drug arrests by the Police Department’s narcotics unit at the Henry Hotel on Dec. 23 and Jan. 5, according to the Public Defender’s Office.

The office says it has surveillance video from the Henry Hotel that contradicts the police reports, which were signed by the officers under penalty of perjury. It said a judge dismissed the two drug cases this week “due to the violation of citizens’ rights.”

A news conference was scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
