Two fights at a South of Market district nightclub in about 20 minutes Sunday left one man in critical condition, police said.

A 30-year-old man was on life support Monday after suffering head trauma when a fight broke out inside the Temple Nightclub at 540 Howard St. around 1:20 a.m., police said Monday. A 26-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in that fight.

Around 20 minutes later, two men were stabbed multiple times with broken bottles during another fight at the club, police Officer Albie Esparza said. The victims were in stable condition Monday.

Police are investigating whether the fights were related.

The suspects in both attacks remain at large. Two of the men were in their mid-20s, they said.

The incident was not considered gang-related.
