Man injured in late-night shooting in San Francisco

A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

The shooting was reported at about 10:35 p.m. near the intersection of Jennings Street and Palou Avenue.

The 20-year-old victim was walking when he heard a pop, felt pain in his shoulder and realized he had been shot, according to police.

He ran to a friend’s house and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
