A San Francisco woman who created fake Facebook accounts to have explicit conversations with middle school girls was slapped with a nine-month prison sentence Thursday.

Prosecutors said 20-year-old Jeanette Aragona assumed the identities of three fictitious boys named “AJ, “BJ” and “Matthew,” to befriend eight girls from Westborough Middle School.

She eventually met with all the victims. During the meetings, she assumed the identity of AJ’s and BJ’s aunt, who she named Janette.

Aragona “never touched or attempted to touch any of the girls,” San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

She was arrested Feb. 1, 2009.

In November, Aragona pleaded no contest to eight misdemeanor child endangerment charges. She received 156 days credit for time she already served to her nine-month jail sentence, and will register as a sex offender.
