A black Mercedes was seen speeding off from the scene of Wednesday night’s fatal shooting in the Richmond district, according to the police department.
On Wednesday, the San Francisco Police Department said the slain man was between 20 and 30 years old, but this morning his age was reported to be 42. His identity has still not been released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident occurred at 9 p.m. near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Anza Street. After hearing gunshots fired, neighbors arrived at the scene and found the man’s body on the ground. A possible suspect was seen leaving the area in the Mercedes, police said.
No arrests have been made and the case is under investigation.
