Caltrain back to normal after moving car from tracks

Caltrain service is back on time Tuesday morning after a stalled car was removed from the tracks in Palo Alto.

A car became stuck on the tracks at the Alma Avenue crossing at about 5:45 a.m., Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

The car was not hit by a train and no one was injured, but the stall disrupted service, Dunn said.

North- and southbound trains were held at stations while the car was removed, causing delays of up to an hour.

Tracks were cleared at about 6:30 a.m.
