Residents should be prepared for the booming presence of the Blue Angels as they do survey runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Fleet Week air show is not happening until Friday, but the Blue Angels will be hitting the skies above San Francisco beginning Thursday.

Residents in all areas should be prepared for the booming presence of the Navy flight demonstration team as it does survey runs from 1 to 5 p.m. so pilots can familiarize themselves with The City’s many landmarks.

A lucky few may catch a sneak peek of some maneuvers expected for Fleet Week, but Thursday is mainly just a day of flyovers at Mach 1 speeds.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, residents can hit the waterfront to view the full air show and the Blue Angels between 3 and 4 p.m. The team also will perform from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
