The jerk couldn’t take no for an answer. A Hispanic man in his 30s asked a 28-year-old man to buy beer for him Sunday at 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of Mission Street, police said. The victim refused and the thirsty thug left, only to return and grab the victim’s wallet. To add insult to injury, the creep punched him in the face with brass knuckles, cops said. The victim sustained a cut to his mouth and the sucker-punching goon fled on foot, police said.

A group of audacious goons held up, kidnapped and robbed a teenager Monday before dropping him off in another neighborhood, cops said. The 19-year-old victim was at Fillmore and Herman streets around noon when two of the three suspects, described by police as Hispanic men aged 19-25, came up behind him and shoved a black semiautomatic handgun into his back, police said.

The predator snuck up on his prey from behind. A black man in his 30s crept up behind a 21-year-old woman working at a restaurant at Seventh and Market streets who had her back to the counter Saturday night, police said. The ruffian grabbed her from behind and shouted “Don’t say anything to anyone,” police said. He then instructed her to open the register. The victim complied and the sneaky stalker grabbed the money and fled, police said.

Belmont murder suspect charged with attacking guards

The “bizarre” 22-year-old man accused in the brutal beating death of an 88-year-old Belmont man is now facing additional charges for assaulting correctional officers in his jail cell, authorities said. Tyler Hutchinson, a transient, is facing the death penalty for the only murder in Belmont last year, San Mateo County prosecutors said.

Roommate stabbed over rent

A spat over rent led to stabbing Saturday, police said. The roommates say they are friends, but their argument over the apartment bills became violent in the 400 block of Eddy Street around 11:50 p.m., police said. A 40-year-old white man stabbed his 67-year-old roommate in the hand before fleeing, police said. As of Monday, the attacker has not been arrested, police said. The victim suffered a minor laceration, police said.
