Cold-blooded brute attacks wheelchair-bound man

A wheelchair-bound man was assaulted during a heartless robbery attempt in the Tenderloin on Sunday morning, police said.The 60-year-old victim was ruthlessly beaten after trying to wheel away from the robber at Eddy and Taylor streets around 7:35 a.m.A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene shortly after the assault. He allegedly demanded cash, then punched the victim repeatedly and knocked him out of his wheelchair after he tried to escape, police said.

Man accused of ballot thefts to appear in court

The 50-year-old man accused of stealing ballots in San Francisco on Election Day in November is scheduled to be in court Monday morning.Karl Bradfield Nicholas was in charge of a polling site on Nov. 2 when he allegedly absconded with approximately 75 ballots.The ballots were later found floating in the pond at the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina district.

Bike-riding bandit snags lady’s bag

A woman’s purse was snatched by a two-wheeled thief early Friday morning, cops said. Two women were walking in the area of Fillmore and O’Farrell streets around 4 a.m. when a man, between 30 and 40 years old, approachedon a bike and grabbed the victim’s purse, police said. The two women struggled to hold onto the purse but the hoodlum threw them to the ground and rode off, cops said. The woman lost her purse and the cash in it. No arrest has been made.

Brute dives right into victim’s pockets

A 24-year-old man’s walk came to abrupt end Thursday evening when he was thrown against a wall and robbed, cops said. The victim was walking near 26th and Fair Oaks streets around 8 p.m. when a man in his 20s approached and pushed the victim against the wall. Bank robber doesn’t make it far

A bank robber was busted on his way out of a Mission Street bank Thursday, according to police. At 3:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Mission Street, a 50-year-old white man entered a bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, cops said. Three stooges kiss their freedom goodbye

Two women, ages 22 and 26, were beaten and held against their will by three hooligans in a Mission Street hotel early Thursday morning, police said. The women walked upon the three men, ages 25 to 36, in the hallway around 3 a.m., cops said. One of the hooligans attempted to kiss one of the victims and when her friend intervened to help, the brutes physically attacked them and prevented them from leaving the hotel, police said.

Crooks snatch man’s laptop, give ominous warning

A 36-year-old man was robbed of his laptop and checkbook Wednesday, cops said. The man was walking in the 900 block of Market Street at 6 a.m. when two black men in their mid-20s approached and attacked him, police said. One of the suspects punched the victim in the nose while the other ripped the victim’s computer bag off his shoulder, police said. One of the brutes pulled out a handgun and said to the victim, “Don’t follow us.”

A night out on the town took a dangerous turn for a bar patron in the Bernal Heights neighborhood early Thursday morning.After leaving a pub near the 100 block of Coleridge Street at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, a 27-year-old man was followed to a park by four suspects, all Hispanic males in their mid-20s, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Attempted daytime robbery in the Richmond district foiled

A would-be bank robber came up empty-handed in the Richmond district after his attempted heist was stopped by the cops.The suspect, a black male, entered a bank on the 3500 block of California Street at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, walked up to a teller, and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspect’s demand, but after the bandit fled the scene, he was quickly arrested, cops said. Police said more details about the crime will be released later.
