San Jose homicide appears to be gang-related

San Jose police Tuesday said the killing of an 18-year-old man on Monday night appears to be gang-related.

The man, who has yet to be identified, died late Monday night after a shooting around 9 p.m. in the 1700 block of Ross Circle, San Jose police Officer Jose Garcia said.

Lt. Alan Cavallo said Tuesday the shooting had "gang undertones."

Officers found the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound before he was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he died sometime before midnight, according to Garcia.
