An armed suspect was shot and injured by a police officer shooting at a San Jose hotel this morning, a police spokesman said.
Officers responded to reports of an armed man at the Extended Stay Hotel at 55 E. Brokaw Road at about 7:45 a.m., San Jose police Officer Jose Garcia said.
Responding officers found the suspect who displayed “threatening behavior,” prompting one officer to shoot at the suspect in self-defense, Garcia said.
The suspect was shot at least once and was taken to a hospital to be treated.
His condition was not known as of 8:30 a.m., Garcia said.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
