BART’s Bay Fair station has reopened and service has resumed at all stations after emergency officials removed a person from the trackway, an agency spokesman said.
A person was reported underneath a train at Bay Fair station at around 3:40 p.m., BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
The station was temporarily closed and service was disrupted between Coliseum, Hayward and Castro Valley stations.
The person was taken from the trackway and was en route to a hospital as of 4 p.m. The person’s condition was not immediately known, Allison said.
He said major delays can be expected on the Fremont line in all directions.
