A San Francisco Muni bus struck a car with a female driver in Daly City this evening, according to the North County Fire Authority.

The bus was traveling near the intersections of Mission Street and San Jose Avenue when it struck the car for unknown reasons at about 6:25 p.m., fire officials said.

Responding crews initially found the victim trapped in her car, but eventually freed her and took her to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the bus was the only person onboard when it struck the car.

No other information was immediately available.
