Man sought by FBI for allegedly impersonating bank victims, stealing their money

The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man suspected of withdrawing money from bank accounts throughout the Bay Area.

He is wanted for a series of crimes that began in April 2009, according to the FBI.

The man was last seen in early March 2010, FBI officials said. Surveillance photos depict him entering several then-Wachovia branches in San Francisco, South San Francisco and San Mateo, where he impersonated the
victims and then withdrew money from their accounts, FBI officials said.

He is described as a white man between 50 and 60 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has a medium build and weighs between 140 to 160 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair, with some balding.

He has also been linked to incidents in the Sacramento and Reno areas.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call the FBI at (415) 553-7400.
