Since Mother Nature probably broke your umbrella with the most recent fit of rain, she found it proper to finish the week off with some hefty bursts of sunshine.
In fact, some Bay Area cities such as Napa and Santa Rosa could break heat records if they reach the mid-80s. But The City and Peninsula can expect it to be in the mid-70s until it cools off on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
“[San Francisco and the Peninsula] probably won’t break any records, but it will be warm,” said weather service meteorologist Austin Cross.
San Francisco would have to beat 82 degrees on Thursday, or on the flip side a low of 41 degrees, to have a record-breaking day. Then on Friday, San Francisco would have to beat 83 degrees or 42 degrees.
The Peninsula on Thursday would have to beat either 76 or 39 degrees and on Friday 83 or 42 degrees.
