Update: Eastbound traffic on the Dumbarton Bridge continues to be blocked by a crash involving a big-rig, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

Crews are working to clear the big-rig and a sedan, which crashed into each other and caught fire in the eastbound lanes of the bridge at around 11:05 a.m., CHP Officer Rauchade Crawford said.

No one was injured, but all eastbound lanes were still blocked as of 12:45 p.m. and traffic heading for the bridge was being diverted, Crawford said.

All westbound lanes have been reopened to traffic.

A Sig-alert was issued at 11:05 a.m.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. BCN's earlier story is below.

All eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes are blocked on the Dumbarton Bridge because of a crash involving a big-rig, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

The big-rig caught fire in the crash, but emergency crews have since put out the flames, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.

Eastbound lanes are expected to be closed until about 1:30 p.m. or 2 p.m., according to CHP. The westbound lanes were expected to reopen shortly after noon.

No injuries have been reported, Bartlett said.

CHP was notified of the crash, which occurred in the middle of the span, at 11:04 a.m., Bartlett said.
