A pedestrian who died after being hit by a suspected drunken driver in Pacifica early Sunday morning has been identified by the San Mateo County coroner's office as 25-year-old Scott Garrigan.
Garrigan, a Pacifica resident, was found dead near Skyline Boulevard and Sharp Park Road at about 1:35 a.m. Sunday.
While officers were at the scene investigating the death, a motorist pulled up and admitted to hitting someone walking in the roadway, police said.
The driver, San Bruno resident Leopoldo Tobilla, 57, was arrested on suspicion of DUI resulting in death, leaving the scene of a collision that resulted in a fatality, and vehicular manslaughter, police said.
He was taken to San Mateo County Jail in Redwood City.
