A South City man is facing DUI charges for a seventh time after a fender-bender in September, authorities said.

Allen Vladimir Carlson, 69, who spent two years in jail for an injury accident he caused in 2004, was arrested Sept. 4 when his Dodge Caravan rear-ended a car on El Camino Real in San Bruno, San Mateo County Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

Police said Carlson reeked of alcohol and failed a sobriety test, Wagstaffe said.

Carlson was scheduled to be arraigned in superior court Thursday. The court may also rule on prosecutors’ request to increase Carlson’s bail.

Carlson is out of custody on $25,000 bail bond.
