SAN FRANCISCO — A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus in the Outer Richmond, a Muni spokesman said.

The incident was reported at 3:07 p.m. near 42nd and Point Lobos avenues, Muni spokesman Judson True said. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. He did not know the extent of her injuries.

True did not have additional details on the collision, but said Muni and police are investigating.

The driver of the outbound 38-Geary bus will be placed on non-driving status and tested for drugs and alcohol in accordance with standard Muni procedure, he said.
