August 16, 2009

SAN FRANCISCO — A woman fell from an apartment balcony at the Fox Plaza building in San Francisco Saturday, according to police.

Police received the call shortly after 5 p.m., according to an officer at the scene.

She could only confirm the woman fell from “a very high floor” of the 29-story building, located at 1390 Market St.

The woman fell onto Polk Street, between Market and Hayes streets.

The woman was taken to the hospital with a severe gash on the top of her head, according to the officer. Police are examining the balcony.

Fox Plaza is a mixed-use office and apartment complex.
