Train strikes pedestrian in Oakland

OAKLAND — A train struck a pedestrian in Oakland this afternoon, according to a fire dispatcher.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 12th Street and 29th Avenue, the dispatcher said.

Information about injuries suffered in the crash were not immediately available.
